OUR MISSION
The mission of the VMM is to honor the men & women who have so bravely served and sacrificed for this nation in the armed forces. We strive to preserve the history of these veterans and their deeds and accomplishments, to provide a forum from which these accomplishments may be shared with the community, and to educate future generations about our heroes in uniform.

The Veterans Memorial Museum in Laurel, MS is a 6,000 square foot historical masterpiece nestled among the towering pines of Jones County. Founded in 1996, the museum moved to its permanent home on Hillcrest Drive in 2005. The museum is home to thousands of military artifacts and memorabilia that reflect the service and sacrifice of countless courageous service men and women. Each treasure on display has been donated by local veterans and their families, as well as those throughout our nation and abroad. |

Library & Research MaterialsThe museum is home to an extensive reference library which includes books, periodicals, newspapers, documentaries, and movies of the military genre. Veterans and volunteers offer individual and group tours daily. Special programs are provided for pre-planned groups, such as schools, churches, and civic organizations. The museum also offers guest speakers, book signings, reenactments, and special events.

Memorial & Monument Walls The memorial/monument brick walls, commemorating many of our veterans, greets you as you arrive at the museum. Each brick is etched with the name and any other desired information of a veteran. These beautiful engraved bricks may be purchased by anyone wishing to honor a veteran.
