The Anthony Muscarella medal & book artifacts were graciously donated by Mr. Glenn Coffey (Lafayette, LA), in honor of his late father, Lt. Murray Coffey, USA (New Albany, MS). Lt. Coffey passed away in January 2017.

Lt. Coffey served in the U.S. Army during ,WWII in both the Infantry (89th Inf. Div.) and Air Corps. His wartime experiences were published as the book World War II and My Military Memories, copies of which were also
​donated to the VMM.

​Mr. Coffee also donated approximately 500 photos & negatives from the Vietnam Era that were taken by combat photographer Spec/5 Jerry Burchfield,
​USA (Magee, MS) during the Vietnam War.
