Well, it's been almost a year since I published our last episode. In the ensuing 10 months, a great deal has taken place in and around the VMM. We've added some new artifacts, updated some new displays, and made some physical changes to the museum itself. What hasn't changed is the ongoing mission to share the stories of our local veterans with the world. In an ongoing effort to streamline the process of creating a useful tool for helping the museum reach as many people as possible, I've changed the format of this blog to that of a podcast. Each episode will be around 15 minutes and, if all goes well, serve a way for the public to see what's happening at the museum and catch up on things of interest that they may have missed. The "Covid-19" landscape we navigate today is making the world more and more reliant on technology to both communicate and for businesses to survive. It is our hope that people who are hesitant to visit public sites due to health concerns will find that our social media & website a useful source of what is happening at the museum, without having to expose themselves unnecessarily. Thanks for visiting our website and for checking out the "blog/podcast". I would love it if you took a minute to leave a comment or offer feedback. Until April... Jeff

I was a visitor last week at the museum, had a great visit with one of your volunteers. He might remember me, I am from Nebraska. You have so much to share, each and everything has a great story. Would like to come back again and spend more time. I was wondering if you could tell me more about the story of the flag on the wall. I understand it is reminents of lumber from a tornado. I am a DAR / Colonial Dames /Jamestowne/ and The Carter Society member. A history and genealogy fan. Thanks Donna Andresen.
